Kudos Mr. Zuma
It is very welcoming news that Africa has been able get Ghathafi to sit down for peace talks. Ever since the Libyan uprising, Africa’s position has not been much felt largely due to the ill-strength of the AU and the Western Interventions. As a Pan Africanist, I have never been comfortable whenever the West, hiding under the suit of UN tries to intervene in African matters.
If we have African Problems, we cannot expect Western Solution to be suitable remedies. It is only an ill-thought to expect that the west would ever do any good to Africa, without far reaching interests to their economies and Nations.
We have already been told by some media reports, that the AU was not in favour of Military Action on Libya yet they were simply ignored. This report has never come to frontline reports of Western Media such as the BBC, CNN and VOA. This makes the African look very helpless and insignificant. Adding to that is even the unwillingness of African governments to take lead initiatives in helping solve most crises that plaque Africa.
Some have blamed the unwillingness and seemingly inability of the AU to act on lack of funds. Others think it is lack of moral right to call a spade a spade since most of them are just waiting for opportunity to cause similar mayhem in their own land.
It is in the like of all these considerations that I think Mr. Jacob Zuma should be unconditionally commended by all for his bold initiative. Whiles the so called world Police (the USA and her Allies) are standing afar and cowardly throwing bombs at Ghathafi, He has walked to confront Ghathafi. This is true African. You cannot Judge a person when you stand from a distant to look at him. You can only have a clear picture when you have gone close to him.
As for my own President Prof. Mills I know he is caring so much about Ghana. (Ore Dzi Ne Fi Asem) He cannot risk committing the errors that sent Nkrumah out of Power. So he cannot be bothered with international issues. I pray that the Lord have mercy on Ghana so that nothing bad happens to us, or the International Community would also resort to the Dzi wo fi Asem policy.
I call on the true children of Dr. Nkrumah to rise up and commend Jacob Zuma and his helpers. I call on Africans to learn to discipline ourselves and prevent the white man from coming to discipline us. I call on all who are concerned to be hopeful that someday Africa will unite and become a strong force in world affairs.
Long Live Zuma and people of his likeness
Long Live Pan Africanism
God Bless us all
